The Parish Council has been in discussion in recent months with United Utilities about planned improvement works on the Stodday Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW).
United Utilities have issued a letter to the Parish Council and residents of Stodday setting out some of the key aspects of the work and how it may impact the community.
An immediately impending activity, due to run for around 3 days commencing on Tuesday, 6th May will be the delivery of welfare cabins to the site. Thus will be done using Ashton Road and Lunecliffe Road.
Other key points include:
* Working hours will be 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1pm Saturday.
* They will keep residents and businesses updated throughout the works
* Demolition work will begin in June. A slight increase in noise is expected but they will ‘minimise it as much as possible’.
