Parishioners may have encountered contractors and machinery/materials at the entrance for the embankment public footpath (FP0101031) between Aldcliffe Hall Lane and North towards Marsh Point. The footpath is temporarily closed for works commissioned by Lancashire County Council to ‘Upgrade Prow Surface’. We understand that this work is scheduled to last for around three weeks.

The Parish Council is concerned about the need for and impact of this project and the lack of communication/consultation by the County Council. Councillors are liaising with the landowners (the Morecambe Bay Wildfowlers Association) and raising these concerns with the County Council.
