Parishioners will be aware that the Parish Council, together with our City Council and County Council representatives, has been trying to address Aldcliffe Road parking issues for many years, with little success to date.

Awkwardly, much of the land in question is owned by the Canal and River Trust and they have been consistently unsupportive of suggestions for measures to control parking on their land. Camper Van Parking

The numbers and length of stay (not to mention size) of motorhomes and campervans parking along Aldcliffe Road has increased noticeably in recent years and months, exacerbating an already troublesome situation.

At the recent Council meeting, residents informed the Parish Council that the site was being promoted by the international web and app based online service ‘park4night’. The Parish Council contacted park4night to express the concerns about the site and to our great delight, they agreed to remove it immediately from their listings.
