Aldcliffe with Stodday Parish Council

Catch the shy fly-tipper!

Here’s yet another builder (or maybe the same one) dumping their waste in our parish, this time on Aldcliffe Hall Drive.  Thank you to residents who have reported this incident.

In case you are unaware of the laws relating to fly-tipping;  if rubbish is tipped on the roadside or on public land then the City Council will remove it.  However, if rubbish is tipped on private land then it is the land owner’s responsibility to dispose of it, as in this case.  On a previous occasion, Tim Dant very decently took the waste away to the tip in his camper van, but this pile of waste material is too great to expect a private individual to remove.  The Parish Clerk is contacting the landowners’ agents to inform them of this incident.

Please help us catch this (or any other) fly tipper by keeping an eye out for a small van or pick-up parking suspiciously.  Without putting yourself in danger, please make a note of the make and colour and its registration number and immediately inform the Parish Clerk at clerk@aldcliffewithstoddaypc.org
