Following the Parish Council’s repeated requests to repair the unsafe cattle grid at Craiglands Court, Lancashire County Council Highways Department have finally acknowledged that the grid requires urgent work.
The County Council has issued a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) prohibiting vehicular access to Craiglands Court via the cattle grid grid between the 4th and the 24th December 2023. Hopefully the work will not require a closure for the whole of this period.
We understand that barriers were actually installed last Friday, 1st December. Unfortunately, the Parish Council received no advance notice of this closure. We can only apologise for any inconvenience to residents and we are talking to the County Council to ensure that such activities are properly communicated in future.
