The Parish Council resolved in July 2025 to undertake a review of the NDP during the late summer and autumn to:

• review the effectiveness of the Plan and its policies;
• update the supporting text in the light of changes to national and local planning policies; and
• update the supporting text to reflect local changes and to correct minor errors.

Following consultation, and with the assistance of the Parish Council’s consultants for the NDP project, a ‘light-touch’ review was completed in March 2026. This form of review does not require a formal consultation and referendum prior to the doucments being submitted to Lancaster City Council for approval and adoption, but the Parish Council undertook a six-week informal consultation of residents and stakeholders in February/March 2026 before finalising the draft modified plan.

The draft modified plan is now submitted to Lancaster City Council for review and approval.
